Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach, majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing. Jim’s insurance career began in 1971 when he joined California Casualty. Jim spent seven years with California Casualty starting in Commercial Sales later being promoted to Assistant Vice President. In order to expand his knowledge of insurance Jim took numerous classes to qualify him for the industry designation of “Certified Insurance Consultant”. Jim spent eight years with a large Orange County Agency in Commercial Sales. During this time Jim developed his specialization in manufacturers and contractors. In 1985 Jim formed his own agency, Irvine-Pacific Insurance, in Irvine. Eleven years later Jim sold the business to his partner.
